Abstract

        The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of education, work experience, and competence on the performance of employees of PT. Wahana Jasa Bahtera in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung partially. This study also aims to examine the effect of employee performance on the development of the company.

        The method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach with the intention to find the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables by using a statistical formula that examines the relationship of education, work experience, and competence to the performance of employees of PT. Wahana Jasa Bahtera in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung. In addition, this study also aims to examine employee performance in the development of business PT. Wahana Jasa Bahtera. While the statistical formula used to test the hypothesis is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The population in this research is 30 employees of PT. Wahana Jasa Bahtera.

         The results of the study prove that: (1) there is a significant influence between education on employee performance. This is evidenced by the value of  t-count> t-table (2.467> 2.04841). (2) The results also show that there is a significant influence between work experience on employee performance. This is evidenced by the value of t-count> t-table (2.074> 2.04841). (3) The results showed that there is a significant influence between competence on employee performance. This is evidenced by t-count> t-table (3.027> 2.04841). And (4) The result of research indicates that there is a significant influence on employee performance variable to company development which is proved by Tcount value (6, 803)> t-table (2.04841).
